Conventional soaps will only leave your hands dirtier.
But not this one that you can make at home! So, read on and bear with me.
"What in the world does she mean?" you may ask. "We've been taught all our lives to clean our hands with soap, how would doing that make our hands dirtier?"
Good question - let me enlighten you.
A common toxic ingredient found in most store bought foaming hand soaps is sodium lauryl sulfate, or SLS.
This is a chemical that allows the soap to lather, and come into more direct contact between the product and the desired area.
Common use of store bought foaming hand soaps containing SLS can not only put your current health situation at risk, it can also affect your health situation in the long run.
This toxic chemical has been studied by the American College of Toxicology, and found that it can cause reactions such as:
-Skin irritation
-Corrosion of the skin
-Hormonal imbalances
-Cellular disturbances
Ummmm.....what? Gross.
And sure, that's all great and wonderful that it's been "studied" that it causes problems like that. But, how exactly does it even work? What's the damaging process that causes such issues?
Well, let me tell you.
Your skin is extremely absorbent, meaning it will soak up every ingredient - both good and bad - from every product you apply topically.
Those ingredients will then transfer into your blood stream and body systems. And as they fester into your system, the toxic ingredients, like SLS, begin to attack your healthy cells, and negatively impact the way they were meant to function.
Plus, some of these foo-foo-fruity-loopy-ooh-la-la soaps are super expensive. So #sorrynotsorry, but I ain't buyin' anymore.
By simply tossing out your store bought foaming hand soaps and replacing them with something you can make, without the toxins, you will be saving money and protecting your wellness at the same time. NO BRAINER, people!
