Hong Kuai is a very special, revered, treasured tree found in the mountain rainforests of Taiwan. Hong Kuai trees typically live 1,000–2,000 years, with every tree ring having its own deposit of that year’s essential oil. Its name in Chinese means “the respected trees for the temple-building society,” and is known in Taiwan as being a “gift from the clouds.”

Traditionally used for building shrines, temples, and homes, this sought-after soft wood contains chemical constituents that provide spiritual and physical closeness. Hong Kuai has one of the highest sesquiterpene contents of any Young Living essential oil.
